A scary story on how to lose money and seemingly have no re-courses to anyone. Cheques are an institution in the UK slowly being replaced by payments online, however a number of companies are still retaining the old method.
When one of the largest Doctor Practices in the South East wanted to look at the delivery of care and the changes that were coming over the next 18 months they asked Merranti to organise a day to see where the problems occurred and where the solutions might be found.
With one day held at the practice and with motivated staff the problems were raised, discussed and solutions found, the point here was that the Staff contributed and understood that they were part of the delivery. It resulted in solutions that everyone was part of and so began a year of change.

Solution to Property Developer’s site issues in Uxbridge
Merranti assisted a property developer with their 180 apartment units in London when the site began to run at a loss. The valuations were showing as less than the current bank debt and the funding bank took back control of the site. Merranti was able to step in, and after giving initial business advice, was able to renegotiate the deal so that all units were brought to practical completion.
The developer requested further advice and we were able to produce a successful marketing campaign which resulted in an increased return for both the bank and the developer along with the successful sale of all units. It was Merranti’s ability to act as mediator and negotiator that meant the relationship between developer and funder could be salvaged and a management agreement be put in place.
