We were approached by a company within the construction industry as there overdraft had been withdrawn at the point where new business had just been secured. The existing accounts system failed to give specific information allowing them to make decisions.

 

We assisted with a new cash flow and applied adjustments; with negotiations with suppliers an overdraft was avoided.

 

At this point we then introduced to a new banking partnership that would over time extend lending facilities to them.

Marketing Company merger

 

Following a down turn in the market the company's revenue was reduced which affected Gross Profit resulting in a potential insolvency issue.

 

We were involved in the introducing of a partner company in a similar industry and position, following lengthy negotiations a merger was agreed resulting in significant cost savings and a cross selling ability. Merranti then assisted with company left behind so that the Directors were able to concentrate on the merger and new business going forward. The moving of the clients was a smooth transition and resulted in an immediate increase in sales as it gave them further products and instilled further confidence in the company.

Media Industry supplier was looking for a joint venture or possible merger  as a method of consolidation.

 

We were able to locate a suitable partner and negotiate a merger, this gave the benefit to the client of anonymity and prevented the industry from becoming aware of the situation.

Company Equity sale

 

Merranti has been asked to assist in the part sale of property related company and provide investor relations. In addition operational infrastructure advice is being sort to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Broker of Company Sale within the Media Sector

 

We have been instructed to act on behalf of a Media based agency to deal with the sale of the company, we have been able to field and interview potential purchasers to reduce these to credible buyers.

 

Using Merranti as a buffer we were able to achieve Non-Disclosure agreements and prevent the buyers from knowing the company name and details before the legal document was in place.

 

This is an on-going case and is currently in negotiations.

Raising Finance for Travel Company

 

Provided assistance to an awards company within the Travel Industry.

 

The Company needed an investment of £500,000 to enable expansion; we assisted with preparation of the investment document and located a suitable investor. After protracted negotiations we provided the investor with on-going independent reports allowing for phased investment on key performance.

Private Individual

 

An individual who has been acting a landlord for DHSS tenants over the last 10 years and had fallen into arrears with self-assessment forms and other creditors. This totalled an amount of £140,000.

 

We came in at the stage where the individual had been served with Stat Demand and the end seemed close. We went over the paperwork and proved to HMRC their estimates were incorrect and also found that a previous NHS authority had not made VAT payments in line with the new rules at that time, following lengthy negotiations we came to an agreement with all creditors, resulting in a nil payment to the revenue and reducing the debt by £100,000 . We then looked to see how the client was now going to turn the current situation into a profitable scenario to prevent it happening again. This was achieved by renovating and review of the current tenants.
