Merranti were employed by a property investment company to obtain clients that looked to invest £50,000 each and become buy to let landlords. Not an easy task in this market.

 

The company had been visited by the designers, web companies and on and offline media sales people, who all said that there product was the way to go and that they shouldn’t worry about having so many eggs in one basket.

 

Merranti approached this differently and started with the potential buyer, how and where do you get their attention, what are looking for. Now we needed to get their attention, we tested a number of adverts in national press, with monitoring we quickly worked out the best return came from adverts with questions in a large font and the answers from a choice underneath. They had to read three line of text before they found the answer. The question was designed so that it only inspired the person with money to invest to read it.

 

After this we changed their method of dealing with enquiries reducing the levels that were needed to complete the sale – we call it Enable. We enabled the client to buy removing the obstacles like finance, making sure each sales person was trained in the same manner with a minimum standard of product knowledge. Testing them and putting them through their paces until they understood the ethos of the company and a consistent face was presented each time. No marketing pound will be wasted by bad sales people.

 

The company’s return on investment after 4 months was 10 times.
