Business Consulting Case Study

 

Merranti were commissioned to assist a hospitality company that were experiencing various issues, mainly due to the knock on effects of the downturn in the property industry. The company had noticed their business being affected across various parts of their group structure.

 

We quickly recognised there were a number of issues that were preventing the business from maintaining stability and achieving growth in their revenue. Our main concern was that it was not a singular containable problem within one department, there was a more substantial issue stemming from the company's procedures and focus. Additionally the company was suffering financially due to their existing lease contracts which had been negotiated in a more buoyant market.

 

A staggered, two-fold strategy was provided by Merranti. Long term goals were set to provide an overall achievement target, however due to the current trading of the company, short 6/8 week plans also had to be introduced. This gave immediate benefits and kept the company trading whilst Merranti implemented longer term projects.

 

This case study was a success due to the strategy that was quickly implemented into the existing business. Combined with Merranti's ability to get involved and deliver the plan it resulted in a successful conclusion. Without the hands-on implementation it would have simply stayed as a strategy.
